Answers to the most common questions about EMSAM’s
services and workflow.
What’s the difference between “Orchestral Production” and “Custom Orchestral Works”?
Orchestral Production refers to the creation of realistic mockups from existing scores, ideal for composers or institutions that already have a written piece. Custom Orchestral Works involves composing and/or orchestrating original symphonic music from scratch or based on an existing foundation, tailored to your project.
Can I send you my own score for mockup or production?
Absolutely. If you already have a full orchestral score, I can create a realistic and high-quality virtual version. This service is perfect for those who want to hear their piece clearly without the need to hire a full orchestra, whether as a reference or as the final version. Ideally, you can also send a MIDI file along with the score to speed up the production process.
Can you work with non-orchestral instruments in the "Hybrid Recording" service?
Yes. Although orchestral instruments are common, the hybrid method also supports pop, rock, acoustic, and other setups by combining virtual libraries with real musicians recorded in studio.
Do you compose music for film, video games or multimedia?
Yes. The Custom Orchestral Works service is specifically designed to offer original cinematic-style scores for audiovisual formats such as films, trailers, video games, and more.
Is the music from the “Classical Works Recreation” service copyright-free?
Yes. All recreated classical pieces are based on public domain repertoire and delivered as brand new original recordings, which means you can use them without copyright issues.
Can I request specific instruments or tunings for my classical or soloist project?
Of course. You can request alternative tunings (like 432 Hz), specific instrument combinations, or styles for both the Classical Works Recreation and Custom Backing Tracks for Soloists services.
I’m a singer or solo musician, can I request only a piano or small ensemble accompaniment?
Yes. Backing tracks are fully customizable: from solo piano or guitar to chamber groups or full orchestral accompaniment.
Legals
Answers to the most common legal questions related to copyright, licensing, usage, and privacy.
Do I retain the copyright of the music I commissioned?
Yes. If you’re a composer, soloist, or independent creator, you retain full ownership of both the composition and the final master you commissioned. EMSAM PRODUCTIONS does not claim authorship or usage rights over your work, except in special commercial agreements.
Can I use the delivered files on my channel, portfolio, or social media?
Yes. As long as your project is personal or independent, you’re free to publish, monetize, and distribute the final audio. However, internal files like stems, sessions, or templates may not be shared unless previously agreed upon.
What happens if my project is for film, video games, or a brand?
For commercial productions, an additional contract is required. It will establish usage rights, potential royalties, mandatory credit, or special conditions based on the project’s scope. EMSAM PRODUCTIONS may retain certain technical rights over the production process.
Can I use the classical recordings available on the site?
Not without permission. While the original compositions are in the public domain, the recordings produced by EMSAM PRODUCTIONS are new interpretations protected as phonograms. They cannot be copied or reused without written authorization.
What can I do with the demos based on copyrighted music (like films or games)?
These demos are strictly for demonstrative purposes, showcasing orchestration and production capabilities. They are not available for download, resale, or any commercial use under any circumstances.
Does EMSAM PRODUCTIONS collect my personal or payment information?
No. Only basic analytics tools are used to understand general visitor behavior. If you contact us, your information is not shared with third parties. All payments are processed through external platforms (Stripe and PayPal), and no banking data is stored.
What happens if someone misuses the music produced for me?
Although EMSAM PRODUCTIONS does not manage legal claims on your behalf, you will receive professional masters with delivery dates and technical metadata to help you prove authorship in case of disputes or copyright claims.
